Georgia Tqwartscheli 1900 (DTitle). Album with 34 large-format montage OP photographs documenting the visit of the Russian Minister of Agriculture A.S. Yermolov to the mines of Tqvartscheli (Abkhazia, Georgia). 1900. Vintages. Silver gelatin prints. Format approx. 16 x 22.5 cm. Lwd. with silver print title (lid somewhat bent, sth. fl., edges weakly above). Below the photographs with mounted designations in Cyrillic script. - The photographs show the Russian Minister of Agriculture A.S. Yermolov and his entourage, the inauguration of tunnels baptized in the name of the Minister in his presence, views of towns and villages, mountain landscapes of the Caucasus, the delegation passing rivers, local administrative buildings of mines and churches (also interior with clergy), group portraits of miners working in the mines, open-cast mines, mines and tunnels, etc. The photographs also show the Russian Minister of Agriculture A.S. Yermolov and his entourage. - Carrier cartons somewhat warped, mostly somewhat browned, last free leaf brown-spotted.
