Artists - Sepia. Collection of 84 OPhotographs of actresses and actors as well as dancers of the Belle Epoque from Hungary, France, Germany, the USA and Australia, etc. Mainly studio photographs. Probably Budapest around 1900-1910. Tinted bromine-silver gelatine and silver gelatine prints, various formats, the Hungarian mostly 13 x 8 cm, the remaining small and medium formats (approx. 7 x 4 to 10 x 6 cm), firmly mounted on cardboard plates. Transverse 4°. Whole leather strap in crocodile leather look, with chased metal corners in a slipcase (minimally rubbed on the back). Impressive collection of actors and dancers of the Belle Époque from the Anglo-American area as well as from Hungary (K.u.K.) and Paris. Illustrations etc. by Sarah Bernhardt, Saharet (Australian dancer), Bianca Bianchi (German-Austrian opera singer), Minnie Ashley (American Broadway actress), Aranka Hegyi (Serbian-Hungarian operetta singer), Terez Csillag (Jewish-Hungarian actress), Sari Fedak (famous Ukrainian-Hungarian prima donna), Anna Held (Broadway actress), Cleo de Merode (Varieté actress and dancer, anda. she was a model for von Kaulbach and von Lenbach), Clara Ward (US-American actress) and many more. - The Hungarian actors all on bromine-silver gelatine, all mostly with exposed photo studio names, e.g. Nadar, Reutlinger, Eddowes Bros NY etc. and the following Hungarian studios: Kossak, Uher, Weisz, Strelisky, Erdelyi etc... - Behind some often colored postcards of the time.
