Church hymnbook for the Harz Mountains. Clausthal, Schweigersche Buchhandlung und Buchdruckerei, without year (probably around 1845). Ldr.bd. current with rich binding gilding and full gilt cut in cardboard slipcase current with coloured paper cover (ibid. minimally used, slipcase lightly pushed). Quite rare hymnal from the Harz Mountains in an extremely decorative red longitudinal scarred maroquine binding c. 1850 with rich gilding (both covers with gilt medallions in the middle fields, gilt inscription and corner medals, all gilt). On the front inner lid charming papier-mâché decoration (gilt initial and dating on heart-shaped black paper framed with floral decoration). - Included : Epistles and Gospels on all Sundays and feast days, together with the Festive Lectures and the story of the suffering, dying and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, gathered together from the four Evangelists, and the description of the destruction of Jerusalem.
