dating: last quarter of the 17th Century provenance: Brescia, Long, smooth-bore, four-stage, 14 mm cal. barrels, octagonal at the first part signed 'LAZARIN' and decorated with a relieved, chiselled mask at the base, followed by a short segment of sixteen faces and two round segments divided by rings; flintlocks with round plates engraved with floral motifs, the stems of the batterie chiselled with floral pattern, one marked 'Pietro Fiorentino' inside, the other 'Bressia'; wooden, full stocks, finely sculpted with floral motifs under the barrel; steel mounts, counter-plates pierced with rinceaux and snake, trigger guards with bass-relieved masks, butt-plates with beautiful effigy of man and woman busts, triggers pierced with snakes, escutcheons on the back and belt hooks; iron-tipped wooden ramrods. Elegant pair of pistols of notable length. length 56 cm.
