dating: First half of the 19th Century provenance: Southern Italy, Long, straight, single-and false-edged blade with central groove, chiselled from the tang until the half of the blade with a lion, snake and floral motifs in high-relief on a grained ground, iron knot; horn grip with longitudinal grooves, decorated with staves, partially engraved and with cap and ring-nut decorated en suite. length 39.5 cm.
