The vase is decorated to the body with Shoulao on a cloud nimbus above the Eight Immortals standing on a ledge, all reserved on a black enamelled ground. The shoulder is decorated with a lotus band above a ruyi head band. The base with a 'qi shi bao ding zhi zhen' (as precious as a ding censer of rare stone) mark in underglaze blue within a double circle.
