Four drawings by Odilon Redon, bought by Louis-Charles Libaude at the time, encapsulate a brilliant, unclassifiable artist, and are scheduled to take flight once more.

Born in 1962 in Moscow, Olga Cernysheva represented Russia at the 49th Venice Biennale. One of her works will be offered by the foundation to the Centre Pompidou.

The replacement of Vladimir Medinsky with Olga Lyubimova has been criticised after unearthed LiveJournal blog posts published in 2008 indicated her disinterest in cultural activities; in the posts she claimed she "can’t stand going to exhibitions, museums, opera", and called visiting certain museums a waste of time.

Unable to be announced at Paris’ Beaux-Arts due to the pandemic, the three artists nominated for the 15th edition of the foundation’s drawing prize were announced digitally. They include Olga Chernysheva, Chloe Piene and Gert & Uwe Tobias. The winner will be announced in Spring 2022 at the Salon du Dessin.

The gift, which came from the collection of conservationist Esmond Bradley Martin, includes works by Paul Gauguin and Pablo Picasso and three rare works by Claude Monet. Among the acquisitions made by the museum in 2019 were two paintings by Denver native Jordan Casteel and Untitled (1957) by Olga Albizu.
