When the hammer struck in Versailles on December 20, Study of Three Cisterns at 55 West 39th Street from the Radiator Building in New York, executed by Bernard Boutet de Monvel, sold for €600,000, exceeding its high estimate of €60,000. A world record for a drawing by the artist.
