Pablo Picasso and Marie-Thérèse Walter's granddaughter is staging an exhibition devoted to her mother, Maya, at the Gagosian Gallery in Paris. A chance to discover some unknown pieces.

The collector couple created one of the world's most important collections of African-American art and cultural heritage, bequeathed in part to the SCAD Museum of Art in Savannah, Georgia. Three exceptional letters from their collection are presented in Paris, at the Pantheon.

The Walters Prize 2021 exhibition will open on May 15th in Auckland. The preeminent prize for contemporary art this year features finalists Sriwhana Spong, Fiona Amundsen, Sonya Lacey and the Mata Aho Collective, who will be showing a mix of new and recent works. (Ocula)

The origins of the Walters Art Museum date back to 1931, when Henry Walters bequeathed to the city of Baltimore an extensive art collection started by his father, William T. Walters. Today, the museum is reckoning with its founders’ white-supremacist legacy.

From October 14, visitors can peruse the new exhibition at the Petit Palais, “Walter Sickert: Peindre et Transgresser (1860-1942).” The German-born British painter, lesser-known in France, is widely recognized across the channel. Der Klänge theater has created a virtually accessible walking tour of the theater that was once designed by the virtuosic German architect.
