"Jean, I’m going to eat you. To take your strength. […] Through my new works […] you are still here, even though these paintings do not look like you." In 1993, Niki de Saint Phalle wrote these words to her husband Jean Tinguely, who had died two years earlier, to present a new series called "Tableaux éclatés" (“Shattered Paintings”)…
