On the back of this copper painting is an old label that says "Rotthamer". Hans Rottenhammer (1564-1625) was a Munich-born Bavarian painter who traveled extensively during his career, notably to Rome, Venice and the court of Rudolf II in Prague. His style is a synthesis of Northern landscapes…
