The Met is selling 219 prints by artists like Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Frank and Frank Stella in addition to Civil War photographs and photographic works by Brassai, Eadweard Muybridge, etc. With this new wave of deaccessioning, which is slated to end in April 2022, the museum hopes to cover losses due to the pandemic.
