Published on , by La Gazette Drouot

Called the “Raphael of flower painting” by Italian sculptor Antonio Canova, Charlotte Eustache Sophie de Faligny Damas (aka the Marquise de Grollier) gave most of her art to her family. Still Life with a Vase of Flowers, Melon, Peaches and Grapes, 1780, is 1 of only 2 works known to be in a museum collection.
