The Frick Museum Acquires Painting By Giovanni Battista Moroni

The New York Institution is hailing the acquisition of Giovanni Battista Moroni’s Portrait of a Woman the most significant Italian Renaissance painting museum has acquired in more than half a century. The 16th-century painting was a gift from Assadour O. Tavitian, a longtime board member, who died in 2020.
