The FBI seizes 25 Paintings Allegedly by Basquiat in Florida

Published on , by La Gazette Drouot

The works attributed to Jean-Michel Basquiat were in the Orlando Museum of Art’s “Heroes and Monsters” exhibition. The FBI has been investigating the works for a year, apparently from a storage locker belonging to TV writer Thad Mumford, who had said he never owned a Basquiat. Many doubt the works’ authenticity.
