Built in 1545-50 by Andrea Palladio, yet influenced by the work of Giulio Romano, the former headquarters of the Popular Bank of Vicenza was acquired by the municipality this week for €4,472,000, the State not having used its right of preemption within 60 days following the signing of the deed of sale on June 10.
