Success for New Streamlined Drouot.com Website

On 16 November 2021, by Vanessa Schmitz-Grucker

Drouotonline.com, Drouotlive.com and Drouotdigital.com disappeared on November 4, making way for one single site, Drouot.com, thereby bringing together all physical sales: Live, Online and Buy Now.

Success for New Streamlined Drouot.com Website

On the day of its launch on November 5, with the DNID sale at Bercy, it was a great success: 8,731 registrations represented an early indication of the popularity of online auctions. Until then, the record had been 1,345 registrations, established on April 8, 2021, for the Roissy Customs sale. The highest online price was set this November 5 when a Lamborghini Aventador was purchased for €277,000; meanwhile, the highest bid attained in the auction room was €295,000 for a Richard Mille watch, thus topping an internet sale of €291,000. Digital sales at Drouot totaled 350,000 registrations in 2019, 580,000 in 2020 and they have already reached 726,000 for 2021 - a trend that has accelerated due to Covid-19.
