This spectacular, newly identified painting will contribute much to what is known about Georges de La Tour, an artist whose body of work has been pieced together over the last century in an attempt to restore his rightful place in art history. Saint Jacques au grand livre ( Saint James with a Large Book ) is unique in the Lorraine artist’s body of work.
