Édouard Manet's dog portrait, the painter's first oil painting to appear on the Parisian market since 2007, doubled its low estimate Friday, under the hammer of Drouot Estimations. His model belonged to the daughter of Mr. Gauthier-Lathuille, owner of the cabaret des Batignolles.
