In a simplistic heist, a thief stole Dalí’s La Girafe en Feu (1966-1967) from Dennis Rae Fine Art on Sunday. The limited-edition surrealist etching, one of a series of seven influenced by Picasso’s bullfighting paintings, was taken from an easel when the gallery’s associate director momentarily turned his back.
