Replica of controversial Lincoln Statue is Removed in Boston, but the Original Still Stands in D.C.

The statue, which features President Abraham Lincoln standing over a kneeling newly-emancipated Black man, was removed from Boston’s Park Square after city officials agreed that it “perpetuat[es] harmful prejudices and obscur[es] the role of Black Americans in shaping the nation's freedoms”.
