Remnants of Nearly 2000-Yr-Old Hercules Statue Unearthed in Greece

The fragmented statue was discovered during an excavation of a site in northern Greece known as the ancient city of Philippi. It depicts a larger-than-life young Hercules and dates back to the 2nd century CE. The team from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AuTH) was led by Professor Natalia Poulos. (Artnews)
