Though Saleh’s Chemin descendant du mont Megamendung did not quite achieve the record previously established by the Javanese artist - €8,928,000 for a work in 2018 – it still doubled its low estimate, reaching a total of €2,210,000. It was acquired by the German art connoisseur Edouard Cassalette.
