The museum had not fully recovered from the 6.4 magnitude earthquake that devastated Puerto Rico in January 2020 when Covid-19 arrived. The museum has remained closed since, but recently named a new director: Cheryl Hartup takes charge, having been MAP’s chief curator from between 2005 and 2012. (TAN)
