Newly Restored Lavinia Fontana Painting Returns to the Walls of the National Gallery of Ireland

Following 18 months of conservation and research, funded by the Bank of America Art Conservation Project, The Visit of the Queen of Sheba to King Solomon (1599), which the museum purchased in 1872, is back on its walls. To celebrate the museum is staging  “Lavinia Fontana: Trailblazer, Rule Breaker” in May 2023.
