New Picasso museum canceled as negotiations fail between Aix-en-Province and Picasso’s daughter

The Musée Jacqueline et Pablo Picasso would have housed some 1000 of the artist’s paintings. Catherine Hutin-Blay (Jacqueline’s daughter) reportedly would not accept a clause on the sale of Couvent des Prêcheurs, which was to be the museum site, but the city council remain open to the plan if she reconsiders.
