National Museum of Norway puts digital copy of “The Scream” in Arctic Coal Mine

The museum placed a digital version of the famous painting by Edvard Munch and around 400,000 copies of other objects in long-term storage in the Arctic World Archive (AWA). Created in 2017 by Pigl AS, AWA touts itself as a “repository for world memory,” housing digital artifacts and information from across the globe.
