Nearly 18 months after “Merveilles d’or et d’argent” (“Gold and Silver Wonders”), an exhibition featuring Norman metalworking, the Centre des Monuments Nationaux is celebrating the millennium of Mont Saint Michel by exploring the history of this architectural labyrinth. About 30 art objects and vestiges attest to the period when the sacred site was at the height of its glory. The natural setting is the abbey church itself.
