The Parisian institution is appealing for funding to acquire the Tabatière Choiseul, a snuffbox they are calling a masterpiece of miniature art. Created between 1770 and 1771, for the Duke of Choiseul, Louis XV's powerful minister, the snuffbox has been a private collection.
