The devasting blast that rocked Beirut in 2020 reduced many works of art to rubble. However, in one Lebanese mansion, a formerly anonymous painting gained a miraculous new standing. Pierced by shards of glass and impaled by wood, the painting is now recognized by experts as a long-lost painting by Gentileschi. (NYT)
