Limoges, attributed to Léonard Limosin (c. 1505-c. 1576), painted polychrome enamel plaque on stamped copper plate with gold highlights, presumed portrait of Mary Stuart (1542-1587), on a plain cobalt blue ground, cabochons of pearls enameled in gold, silver and cobalt on the dress and headdress, dated 1556, 30.2 x 21.6 cm/11.88 x 8.5 in.
