Biesenbach leaves his post at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, which he has helmed since 2018, to head the newly renovated Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin. The German-born 57 year old will also head the Museum of 20th Century Art, currently under construction next door. He takes over from Joachim Jâeger.
