The National Gallery in London and the Barber Institute of Fine Arts in Birmingham, which have jointly acquired a portrait by Lovis Corinth (1858-1925) of the German physician and historian Ferdinand Mainzer: exhibited alternately between the two institutions, it will first be shown in Birmingham.
