A drawing estimated at $200-300 by Marion Antique Auctions turned out to be Jan Lievens’ original drawing of Dutch naval commander Maerten Tromp. Lievens’ images of Tromp were very popular but the original was missing. Christopher Bishop, who bought the work, is now offering it for €1.35M at TEFAF Maastricht. (Artnet)
