The British painter broke his auction record with a drawing entitled, Philemon’s Conversation with Xenocrates. Estimated between €800/1200, the drawing sold for €103,040 with Oxio, in France. Barry was considered a pioneer of British romanticism and is said to have influenced William Blake.
