With all the lots sold for a total of €82M, this first day of the sale set Christie's 2nd record for a private collection. The stars of the evening: Woman Walking, a bronze by Alberto Giacometti, reached €27M while the Louis XIV period rolltop desk by David Roentgen and François Remond fetched €2M.
