Founded in 1904 as a museum for Spanish and Portuguese art, the Hispanic Society of New York has appointed Guillaume Kientz as its new director. Kientz wants to demonstrate that the museum is not just "Old Masters", as he seeks to connect it with the art of the 20th and 21st centuries and to its Latino neighborhood.
