A well-known figure throughout northern France, he was passionate about abstract art. Born in 1952, in Campagne-lès-Hesdin, Régis Dorval opened his first gallery in Le Touquet at the age of 22, then the second one in Lille in 1984, under his name. He exhibited Herbin, Poliakoff, Chu Teh-chun and Dodeigne.
