Czech Patron of the Arts Meda Mládková Passes Away at 102

She created the Kampa Museum, Prague, which announced her death on May 3. While living abroad, she was a great supporter of Czech artists under communism. She championed František Kupka, organizing a retrospective of his work at the Guggenheim, NY, in 1975 and moving her collection of his work to Prague after 1989. (AP)
