A court has ruled that Brancusi’s The Kiss may be removed from Paris’ Montparnasse Cemetery by the descendants of Russian student Tatiana Rachevskaïa, whose fiancé purchased it to honor her tombstone after her 1910 suicide. Her descendants hope to sell the sculpture, which is estimated at €50 M.
