Galella died at home of congestive heart failure on April 30. Beginning his career in the 1960s, he became famous for his photos of celebrities, with whom he was not always popular: Jackie Onassis sued him and Marlon Brando punched him. Despite this, his photos won accolades and the MoMA acquired some. (Independent)
