Cincinnati Art Museum Uses Science to Solve a 1,300-Year-Old Art Mystery

Unconvinced by the authenticity of a decorative tassel on the “Dancing Horse” sculpture, belonging to the Tang Dynasty, curator, Hou-mei Sung, contacted the UC College of Arts and Sciences. Pietro Strobbia and his team determined that the tassel was not original to the work; it had been added later. (Phys Org)
