The Hungarian institution has announced the acquisition of a painting by the 17th-century Dutch master of still life painting, Adriaen Coorte. Dating to the very end of his career, the artwork features strawberries in a Wan-Li bowl, his favorite motif. The work was purchased for $2 million at auction in New York.
