Kurdish and Iranian artists have begun creating works to contribute to the protest movement. On Instagram, artist Jalz layered the women from Henry Matisse’s La Danse (1910) on top of Iran’s famed freedom square and Asal Faraschi created digital posters of the “Women, Life, Freedom” chant.
