Demand is strong for the great German names, especially for Günther Förg (1952-2013). His price index has risen by 617% in 20 yrs, compared to 379% for Sigmar Polke and 37% for Emil Nolde. The reason? The artist entered the ranks of the Hauser & Wirth Gallery, and the pandemic had little impact on the German market.
