Although perhaps best known for her textbook American Art Since 1900, Rose’s work was diverse and far-reaching. An art critic for Vogue and New York Magazine, she produced eight documentary films, taught at various universities and curated numerous exhibitions, including the first Lee Krasner retrospective.
