It's a new acquisition for the museum, following its preemption at public auction. A drawing "of great rarity", depicting the Adoration of the Child, by the 16th-century painter and illuminator from Rouen, whose corpus does not exceed 20 drawings. In this work, he used an indigo wash for the only time in his career.
