A bottle of 1973 S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon from the California winery Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars sold for $12,300, three times the high estimate and a world record for the winery, at Heritage Auctions in Dallas. In 1976, an S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon from the same vineyard helped put the Napa Valley on the world wine map.
