L. 150 cm - H. 300 cm - P. 200 cm Provenance: Région Parisienne Note: Raymond Sudre effectue ses études aux Beaux-Arts à Paris où il fut l'élève de Falguière et de Mercié. Il s'impose très vite comme un grand artiste et participe à des expositions collectives à Paris et à Montpellier (Hérault). A partir de 1894 il expose au Salon des Artistes Français dont il fut membre sociétaire Hors Concours en 1896, puis au Salon d'Hiver dont il fut président. En 1900, il obtient le 2e prix de Rome avec la statue de David puis, au Salon de 1905, décroche une médaille avec Helena, une statue en marbre blanc. Une médaille d'or le récompensera en 1926. Note: Raymond Sudre studied at Beaux Arts de Paris where he was the student of Falguière and Mercié.He obruded very quickly as a great artist and participated to some collective exibitions at Paris and Montpellier( Hérault): From 1894 he exibited at the French artist show, which he was a member outside the competition of 1896, then at winter lounge of which he was president. In 1900, he got the second prize at Rome with the statue of David and then at the exbibition of 1905 he won a medal with Helena, a statue in white marble. A gold medal rewarded him in 1926.
