Marble bust of a faun with finely and deeply sculpted hair and curls, drill holes, with sharp ears, open mouth and straight down looking face. Roman, possibly 2nd-3rd Century a.C. or later. On a later adapted plaster neck and shoulder part, on a round white marble base.  Weathered, signs of age, break out parts on the lower right ear, the neck, the nose and partly on the eyes, lips and hair. Several old restorations, specially on the nose and the neck. Cracks, several minor chips. total height 46cm
